With a late flight back home, it left us the entire morning to go back into Boston and explore and do some things we'd wanted to do and didn't have time. Turns out the view of the city from our hotel was still beautiful in the daylight...
Our first stop after getting off the subway was a hike back to Mike's Pastry for more cannolis...
Then we wandered along the water on our way to The Boston Tea Party Ship & Museum...
While their website said they were sold out for the day, we were glad we went to check because we were able to get tickets to the next experience. While we didn't get many pictures (in many places they weren't allowed) it was a great interactive experience. Each visitor gets a character card of a real man who was at the Boston Tea Party on the night of December 16, 1773. The got to attend a meeting of the Sons of Liberty, watch a holographic conversation between two Boston residents, see a tea chest from the actual Tea Party, and throw a box of tea overboard. At the end of the tour you can try all of the teas that were on board the ships that night. We brought home some of our favorite green tea.
