I have to admit that I still miss Creation at the Gorge. But having friends at Enumclaw makes it better. Not working and having friends would have been ever better yet…
We were one of the first ones to arrive on Monday so we had to wait a bit before checking in for work.
Playing frisbee while we wait
It wouldn’t seem like Creation without the “treehouse” tent
the view from our camp
The boys didn’t work this year, but Chris and I did. We also had some tagalongs, which is always more fun! So thankful for the blessing of our kids’ friends!
They had fun just hanging out!
We also camped next to some fantastic friends, both old and new!
I guess Keegan and Zack didn’t want to be in the picture???
Just to add some excitement and variety to the week, it POURED down rain on Thursday night and part of Friday! This was the big time rain! Huge drops, lightning, thunder and MUD! The campground was such a muddy mess that cars began getting stuck, people started packing up to leave (yes, even volunteers left), they rented a tractor to help pull people out, tents flooded, and our boys decided to have a mud race…
and mud races aren’t fun if you don’t slide a bit
and jump
Yes, guys. Your backs are muddy…
ready to hit the showers
And of course there was music… LOTS of music!
We were kind of disappointed that the festival didn’t end with fireworks (they can’t disturb nesting bald eagles) but the candle lighting was even better!
