Thanksgiving 2012

This year Grandma Ide got a house at the beach for the whole family to stay at for Thanksgiving on Devil’s Lake. In order for there to be room for all 25 of us, it was a BIG house!

We were able to get these great shots of the house from the water thanks to a pair of fishing kayaks in the garage. And God blessed us with enough good weather that we got to enjoy them a bit…

we took them all the way to the Rohrers’ house on the lake

There were also a couple of longboards that the boys just had to take out! The fear of getting wet was the perfect motivation for staying on!

Thanksgiving dinner was delicious as usual! But before we could eat there was plenty of cooking and waiting…

After dinner we perused the Black Friday ads and made our shopping plans… Black Friday shopping in Lincoln City is awesome! No crowds and plenty of good stuff to be had!

Friday was the only day of rain, so we had plenty of time to enjoy the beach…

Climbing the hill was a favorite!

Or just walking…

Playing in the sea foam…

Mostly we just enjoyed being together…

It was a weekend to be reminded of all the gifts God has richly blessed us with!
