First River Trip of 2013

Zack had the day off, the weather was sunny… we took the boat out for the first trip to the river of 2013. She had a bit of trouble starting, but once she got going she did just fine! It was really windy and the water was rough, but we made it out to our favorite spot on Walker Island! Thankfully, Andy found us a protected spot for us to set up our little shade and set up “camp”. Thanks, Andy!

Despite the wind, the boys enjoyed the water. I enjoyed the water on the shallow warm side of the island and floated in my river rat.

  This bald eagle flew back and forth around the island all day… He was so gorgeous!

We also played a game of beach Yahtzee while Will dug a hole! Big surprise! LOL

  It was a super fun day and we’re already looking forward to going again soon!
