On the Friday night before we left, we were all treated to a concert and dinner by Simi & Rino’s (the couple who got married) families. Turned out that Dr Rick’s band, The Way of Hope, is also related to Shirley and Simi. ;o)
a welcome by GV
thank you from Rino
Both the Bible college students and the children had a blast! It was totally music for a younger crowd. So we really liked it, too! :o)
Babu and Shirley’s son
this guy sat on my hand for almost an hour
there was also a bit of preaching
Like everything in India, the concert was 3 hours long! This meant we didn’t eat dinner until nearly 10 o’clock! But the food was worth the wait… Mmmm! It was also the first time we got to eat in the dining hall.
Being “honored guests” meant we got to sit at the table with the bride and groom and their families. It was fun to talk to people from America (the groom is from Dallas, TX) and hear about their honeymoon in the Maldives. That place is totally on my bucket list!!!
With everyone in the room all chatting and eating at once, there was quite the hubbub!
