Actually Snorkeling at Hanauma Bay

On the way by Hanauma Bay the closed sign was down! This was our chance. There wasn’t a whole lot of time before they closed but it gave us a couple of hours to explore. And there is a lot to explore at the Bay!

After paying our admission fee, we had to sit through a film telling us not to harass the sea life or stand on the reef. They also pushed their shuttle service because 1/4 mile up a little hill is pretty hard… ;o)

As the sun got lower it got harder to see underwater and, I can’t believe I’m saying this, but it actually got chilly. The wind came up and it was quite cool, even in the water. But the lifeguards kept giving us the “we’re closing in 45 minutes” warning, so we packed up our stuff and trekked back up the hill…

Ended the day eating Italian food, drinking red wine and playing games with good friends! Spending the evening with the Osbornes made a great day absolutely perfect!
