Southern Utah/Northern Arizona - Day Three Part 2

On the Navajo Reservation are two slot canyons: Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon. The Upper Canyon is much more popular and famous. In December of 2014, photographer Peter Lik sold a photo taken there for $6.5 million! But the Upper Canyon is much smaller, the tour is shorter, shallower, and it doesn't have all kinds of ladders/steps. I think we got the better deal... 😁

Lower Antelope Canyon is a narrow slot canyon carved out of the sandstone by wind and sand and water. It is stunningly beautiful even in less than ideal lighting times. But rather than say much more, I'm just going to post a TON of pictures...

The holes to the left of the ladder are the footholes that
were under the rope used to scale the wall during the
original tour!

It got pretty narrow in some spots

Can you see the seahorse in the top near the exit?

I love that as you come out of the canyon, it looks like people are emerging out of a crack in the desert floor...
