Disneyland 2022- Day Five

Lesson learned from this trip: Don't go to Disney the last week of February if it is also over the week of President's Day. Turns out it's a little bit crazy. With a 5-day pass and an entire week in Anaheim, we took a day off and enjoyed some rest.

First on the agenda: Sleeping in late.

Then we went out to breakfast at Huckleberry's at the Anaheim Garden Walk. Eighteen months of shutdown took quite a toll on Anaheim. The mall is full of empty storefronts and is now just a sad shell of its former glory. I forgot my phone, so I couldn't take any pictures... :(

After breakfast we went to some cheap knock-off souvenir shops near the hotel and bought some more breakfast foods.

Was the sun out? Yes. Was it warm? No. But the pool was heated and I just can't stay out of the water... :)

Thinking ahead, we made dinner reservations the day before at the Grand Californian Hotel at their poolside bar & lounge. But first we did a bit of wandering around Downtown Disney shops...

I loved this shirt and now I am suffering from non-buyer's remorse...

We had pizza and wings and drinks for dinner. Yum!

After our nice relaxing dinner, we went back to Downtown Disney and made a stop at Pin Traders'...

The Cast Member working the trading was so sweet and let me have this pin, perfect for my Goofy Disney-bounding outfit, even though I didn't have any of my pins with me to trade. :)
