The campground in Crescent City wasn't great but it was close to the some great hiking in Jedidiah Smith Redwoods State Park.
Hiking in groves of giant redwood trees is amazing! They are so magnificent and make you feel so small!
The hiking weather was so nice but as we headed south the weather deteriorated and got really bad when we made it to Hwy 1. While we were so close to the ocean, we couldn't see it at all for a long while...
Not only was it cloudy, and often very rainy, but it was SO twisty and curvy!!!
We continued to drive south and eventually the clouds broke...
When we happened upon this roadside attraction/shop, we HAD to stop!
I loved this beach where we stopped to have our picnic lunch! The hill full of flowers between the van and the sand was so pretty!
The view of the ocean from town was also very pretty!
Not much in Fort Bragg, CA until we drove by North Coast Brewing. Turned out it was the perfect spot for two tasty flights, a yummy dinner and fun live music! We liked the unique way they serve their flights... :)
