The last post was pics taken with our family camera. Some were taken by us and some by Will. These pictures were taken with Will’s camera. Some were taken by us but most were taken by Will.
Camp
The campground was very full (completely full) and very clean thanks to the very strict rules on bears!
Yellowstone Lake
Zack and I waited at the top while the rest of the gang explored the beach…
Kayaking on the lake looked like so much fun!
The colors and textures are so brilliant and unique!
Will was not only able to get some much better shots of bison but also got a picture of the grizzly bear!
He was just like a dog, shaking after a swim
Click on the picture to make it as big as you can in order to see the bear in the center…
Dangerous Ground
Duh! When the ground is boiling and smoking, I’d say it’s dangerous… obviously!
So Darn Big
When I looked at the pictures that Will took I was struck by just how BIG everything is at Yellowstone! The sweeping landscapes, the canyons, the animals, the rivers, the geysers, the lakes, the waterfalls… everything! It truly just goes to show what a BIG and creative God we serve!!!
They were remodeling the old lodge at Canyon Village and it just broke my heart! All that gorgeous retro stuff will be going away. :o(
So I made Will take pics of it so that it will be remembered…
This part of the park looks different all the time and has changed so much since the last time we were there! Now it is mostly dry with little water. Not as pretty as before, but it will be all new next time we visit.
The view from the top of the whole village and Fort Yellowstone was very nice though…
