Waimea Bay & Shark’s Cove

If Chris could have picked where to spend his birthday, this would be the place. He loves playing in the big surf at Waimea and snorkeling at Shark’s Cove is his favorite thing ever! God continued to bless us with un-forecasted sunshine and we took advantage of every minute…

Then it was on to Shark’s Cove for some snorkeling…

After I’d been swimming around for a while, I actually looked down and noticed the rocks I was barely floating over (and had been for a long time) were FULL of sea urchins! All of a sudden I freaked out when I realized how often I could have (and should have) gotten into one! But we enjoyed the rest of our time and took a quick selfie before going to watch the sun set… It was getting pretty hard to see anything there at the end anyway.
