After our first two anniversary trip plans fell through due to weather, we figured out the closest location by car with good weather for camping and hiking and southern Idaho won. So we packed up the van and headed to Idaho first thing on Monday morning. We made good enough time that we were able to stop for dinner, beers, and ice cream (they even had dairy free) in downtown Boise, right next to the capital building. Turns out that downtown is also a popular hang out for local college students, even on a school night. 😆
Then we drove a bit out of town to a rest stop to spend the night...
