Green Bay - Day One

When friends ask if you want to go to the Thursday Night Football Game at Lambeau, you say yes!

After church on Wednesday night we loaded up our stuff and the Prices and drove 4 hours to Amy's parents' house to spend the night. After a homemade breakfast and a nice visit, we headed to Green Bay. But first we made a stop for some Packer's gear at Walmart and  Fleet Farm. And it was then that we truly realized we were in Wisconsin...

We arrived in Green Bay just in time for the lot to open so we could start tailgating. We went simple, with a green and gold charcuterie and drinks...

Once we were in, we did a bit of exploring...

Then we got settled in our great seats and let the party get started...

Flags were at half mast for the Charlie Kirk shooting and 9-11. Also did a flag on the field and a flyover to remember September 11th.

As you can tell from the pictures, it was also a White Out game...

Zack and Tatum's Visit: Day 8

Since the kids had a late afternoon flight out of Minneapolis, it gave us some time to do some more sightseeing around town on our last day.

For breakfast we went to the upscale side of town to Wayzata along Shoreline Drive in the lake district. Along the loop, we also stopped at Noerenberg Gardens, a pretty park that used to be a part of the Fredrick Noerenberg estate. He was a German immigrant who made his fortune as a brewer. It was a very pretty place to explore along the shore of Crystal Bay.

Then we went to Fort Snelling State Park and went for a quick hike over to see the fort. We didn't have time, but someday I'd like to take the tour...

After we said goodbye and dropped the kids at the airport, my sweet husband drove me around to a couple of Trader Joe's trying to find some of the things I love there that I can't get in Fargo. Then we had a delicious dinner at George and the Dragon (we will go again)!

It was a long day but we made it back into Fargo just in time to enjoy one of God's gorgeous sunsets as a welcome home...
