Disneyland 2022- Day Six

Day six of our trip started at Galaxy's Edge... We booked our way to Rise of the Resistance right away!

Had to pose for a selfie with my peeps... LOL

Then it was a long wait (NOT the posted time) for Smugglers' Run. We rode this a lot but only waited this once... :/

My Vader inspired outfit caught the attention of Kylo Ren...

The sun came out for a bit and I figured I needed a blue milk to match my outfit...

Then we took our drink and made our way back into the park...

New Orleans Square was all decked out for Mardi Gras...

Caught a glimpse of Captain Jack Sparrow on our way to Adventure Land...

Hopped on the Jungle Cruise... (we heard new jokes all three times we were on this ride)

Then we had lunch at the River Belle Terrace. Not the best food we had on our trip but not bad...

You know a ride has a really long queue when they have a snack bar in it... WOW!

And then it rained... a LOT! Thankfully we were inside on a ride both times it rained really hard. Unfortunately, it didn't thin out the crowds as much as we would have liked... :/

We did have to wait until it was nearly dark out to ride Dumbo. I guess all the little kids went home. I love the excited looks of the grandma and little girl behind us... :)

But the lines thinned out enough that we got to ride Big Thunder three times in a row before heading out for the night!!!

Disneyland 2022- Day Five

Lesson learned from this trip: Don't go to Disney the last week of February if it is also over the week of President's Day. Turns out it's a little bit crazy. With a 5-day pass and an entire week in Anaheim, we took a day off and enjoyed some rest.

First on the agenda: Sleeping in late.

Then we went out to breakfast at Huckleberry's at the Anaheim Garden Walk. Eighteen months of shutdown took quite a toll on Anaheim. The mall is full of empty storefronts and is now just a sad shell of its former glory. I forgot my phone, so I couldn't take any pictures... :(

After breakfast we went to some cheap knock-off souvenir shops near the hotel and bought some more breakfast foods.

Was the sun out? Yes. Was it warm? No. But the pool was heated and I just can't stay out of the water... :)

Thinking ahead, we made dinner reservations the day before at the Grand Californian Hotel at their poolside bar & lounge. But first we did a bit of wandering around Downtown Disney shops...

I loved this shirt and now I am suffering from non-buyer's remorse...

We had pizza and wings and drinks for dinner. Yum!

After our nice relaxing dinner, we went back to Downtown Disney and made a stop at Pin Traders'...

The Cast Member working the trading was so sweet and let me have this pin, perfect for my Goofy Disney-bounding outfit, even though I didn't have any of my pins with me to trade. :)

Disneyland 2022 - Day 4

Sunday was back to DCA. The sun was still out but the temps started to take even more of a dive. We still did lots of rides, watched shows, and ate some yummy food... It was a really good day!

Before we got the day really started, we stopped for some shots by Grizzly Falls...

We caught all of the shows in between rides and waits...

Warriors of Wakanda: The Disciplines of the Dora Milaje...

Avengers' Campus gets pretty crowded...

It's a good place to take pictures and watch action-packed shows like Avengers Assemble! and The Amazing SpiderMan!

Also some fun and silly dance party shows with Guardians of the Galaxy...

Waiting for a seat at a super-cool Dr. Strange magic show means tasty treats...

Buena Vista Street has more traditional Disney characters...

We learned to draw Stitch and took a quiz to discover which Disney character we are...

I love California Adventure after dark!

And when the fireworks are at Disneyland it's a great time to ride those big ones again...

Racers is not only one of our favorites but it's even better when you're with a family of first-timers racing against your husband and winning! But what makes it even more special and unique is when it breaks down at the end of the ride and you have to wait for it to start up again. And then they get confused about where your ride ended and when you get back they ask if you want to stay on and ride again!!!
