Storm Drains and Swimming Pools

Now that VBS is over and it was the first Monday off Chris has had in weeks, so we had lots of stuff we needed to do.

First, we did our Servant Week project (Servant Week was actually back at the beginning of June) of putting "no dumping" markers on the storm drains by our house. Fortunately, God gave us beautiful sunny weather for our task. Unfortunately, we live halfway up a really big hill!

prepping the site

gluing it down

all done

we also had a gorgeous view
When we got back from saving our rivers and streams from polluters, we put up our new pool. We got a new used pool last night on our way home from the party. It had several holes, but we patched them all and are hoping it will hold water. It's quite a bit bigger than our last pool and the boys are pretty excited to get it filled! Now we'll have to have a pool party!!!

cleaning and patching

shoveling sand for under the pool

spreading the sand

making it level

moving the pool

it's going up

giving it a final scrub

getting the pump ready

now all it needs it the water

I was wondering why you were all in the swimming pool with your clothes on! It's empty!

What a nice sized pool! I wish we lived close enough to attend a pool party!!!

The baptism was amazing! Such a special day! And the french toast turned out pretty good...not as good as yours though...it was a little soggy...do you know how to fix it? It was still good though!

Enjoy the summer in your pool! We have a couple baby pools in our backyard that work for cooling the toes but that is about it!

God bless!
