Today was the Relay for Life here in town. We have a family at our church who has a booth every year and we have gone every year to support them and the search for a cure for cancer. In the past we have spent a good deal of the day and the boys have spent the entire day, but this year we only stayed a couple of hours because of the rain.
When we arrived it was POURING down rain! Thankfully the rain did stop and the sun even peeked out for a bit while we walked the track and had a look around.
We will be praying for a dry night tonight for those sleeping over, despite the forecast.

the weather didn't look promising...
but then it improved a bit
although there was a Hawaiian theme this year, the
weather was NOT tropical
the luminaries were all set out for the candlelight lap tonight

JD headed out for a ride around the track,
he came back asleep but refused to lay down
