Sixteen Years and Counting

Sixteen years ago, we signed the paper and made it official! It's hard to believe we have already been married that long. (We're not old enough to have been married that long) But it seems to be flying by so fast! I guess time really does fly when you're having fun!

Fridays are co-op days, so I quickly gave Chris a quick kiss good-bye, wished him "happy anniversary", and headed out the door for the day.

But, as usual, my romantic husband had something up his sleeve. He came to Friday School to bring me flowers while I was on my break. It was so sweet and it was kind of fun to be the envy of the other moms. :o)

Feeling somewhat guilty that I didn't have anything for my sweet hubby, I had to come up with a plan FAST. Thankfully, my friend Barb invited to come to her house while the kids were at soccer and make him a heart-shaped chocolate chip cookie (Chris' favorite). It made a great gift and I had lots of fun visiting with Barb and Sarah!

After soccer, splitting some firewood, and making supper for the boys, we headed out to supper. Unfortunately, the restaurant Chris had picked out closed at 3pm. Plan B recently went out of business. Now it was onto Plan C.

Plan C was a resturant in town that we had never tried, but had heard great things about. (There aren't many good resturants here) Rumor was correct. It was pretty busy, and for good reason. The service was fantastic and the food was good, too!

It was a really nice, relaxing and enjoyable supper made an even bigger and better blessing by the fact that our entire meal was paid for by our dentist, who was sitting at the table next to us celebrating his birthday!

Happy Anniversary Chris! I love you and am looking forward to what God has in store for us in the next 16 years!
