Fabulously Fun Fourteen

In honor of Andy's fourteenth birthday, I am posting a list of 14 things that Andy loves...

1. bowling- we went today for Andy's birthday, but I forgot our camera :o(

2. reading- so we got him this book for his birthday

3. Wii Music- he also got this for his birthday and he LOVES it! They played all day and unlocked a lot of new stuff. But if it wasn't for this we may not have seen him all day while he read his new book. :o)

4. playing guitar- he's getting pretty good

5. camping- the campfire is one of the best parts

6. climbing- he's loved it since he was a baby, he climbed before he walked: ladders, flagpoles, trees, ropes, whatever...

7. exercising- he's REALLY strong! you should see his abs!

8. sleeping in- he loves this alot! I wonder who he gets that from?

9. crab chowder- he had this for his birthday supper tonight

10. apples- he eats one a day. Red delicious are his favorite

11. Lord of the Rings- I know who he gets this from
12. libraries- where do you think he gets all those books he reads???
13. archery- he'd like to do it more often
14. cruises- he got to go on one to Alaska with his grandparents and loved it!

Happy Birthday Andy! Hope you had a fabulously fun birthday!

In case you are wondering about the candles on the plate, I'll explain. I wasn't thinking about the fact that Andy's "cake" had just come out of the oven, so while we were waiting the candles melted. Chris pulled them out and stuck them to a plate so Andy could blow them out. It was a little unconventional, but effective.

Happy 14th Andy! Logan will be 14 on February 4th. I didn't realise these two boys were so close in age. And Logan also shares the liking for many of the things on Andy's list.

Hey, thanks for the comment. Your email idea is a good one. Logan isn't a prolific writer. He writes penpal letters to Kate's son Chad, and although both boys enjoy the correspondence, making time to sit down and write has been a challenge for him. But it's always fantastic to send & receive a letter. So exchanging ideas with Andy (or either of your other boys) via email sounds like it could be fun and interesting. They can get him on our email address.
Thanks for the thought
