Today while the boys were busy filming, Chris and I got invited to go clamming at Long Beach. So we packed up our clam guns, buckets, coats and hats and went to pick up our licenses and some other necessities and headed out.
The lines at the sporting goods store gave us some indication that it was going to be a busy dig. The lines of traffic at the coast confirmed it!
the traffic never stopped
neither did the people
God blessed us with beautiful sunny blue skies, no wind, 52 degrees and our limits of 15 clams each! Even when the tide came up and filled our boots and soaked our jeans, we weren't cold a bit.

Trevor didn't like getting wet so he rode with nana
we got our limits
But the best part was the great company! We had a terrific time just visiting and having fun with some new friends. In fact we were kind of sad when we got our limit. We were having too much fun!
And you know you have really great friends when the take your clams home to clean for you! Thanks Tammie and Craig!

Way to go!!!! I LOVE clamming - really wanted to go for this tide, but just couldn't swing all the commitments :-(
Looks like a great day!! I've never been clamming before, but I'd like to try!!

I'm so sorry I missed seeing you at Winco! Glad you and Todd got to chat! Saturday WAS so beautiful here! We went bike riding at Fort Stevens. I'm glad Long Beach wasn't cold, either and it sounds like you had a terrific time. I've never been clamming - after living here 17+ years, I should be ashamed!
After Saturday being so sunny, it's hard to believe it snowed here Monday and Tuesday - didn't stick, though (hooray!) Today was really nice, too. I'm SO looking forward to spring!

Wow, so many people had the same idea. Hope there was enough clams for all of you.
Blessings,
