Camping Out Class Co-op Campfire

For our end-of-the-session activity for my Camping Out class we had a family potluck campfire. One of our families has 3 acres and has set up most of it as a backyard campground complete with firepits, outhouse, rope swings and playgrounds! When Avery was leaving class last Friday he said good-bye and said, "Have fun at my house next week!" We did have fun Avery!

We had several families from class come and even saw some of the dads that we knew had to exist but are rarely if ever seen. Who would have known that the promise of good food, s'mores and fire were all we'd need to bring out the guys? LOL

To make the evening even more enjoyable God blessed us with "exceedingly abundantly more than we could ask or imagine". The weather was pleasantly warm and the bugs were surprisingly scarce!

I'm already looking forward to next session... well, a little break will be nice. :o)

enjoying the rope swing
(I felt nauseous watching the rope swing)

several dogs were sacrificed to the flames

but after your third one you get much better :o)

they are even better without the bun!

so many good things to choose from

it's a pencil holder and a drink holder

playing hacky-sack with an empty pop can
so is it then called kick-the-can?
playing a game of Mad Libs
there was something about "kissing bugs"...
thanks for the push Joel
