Being surrounded by wide open fields and an entire state park, and having a large supply of duct tape and sunflower seeds meant we were never bored…
Here are just some of the ways we entertained ourselves throughout the Great Escape…
Soccer
they came close…
While Will, Doug and I went swimming in the frigid water by North Falls…
Elaina and Cheyenne did a bit of exploring and hunted for rocks
????
Sunflower seed golf. This game involved spitting sunflower seeds onto grassy patches in the concrete and ballet spins on a big rock??? I don’t get it, but they really enjoyed it!
The boys matured so much on this trip thanks to some duct tape and moss. LOL
Even Josh got into the act!
Duct Tape Challenge #2 (build a bridge that will support someone walking across with only one roll)
the tape didn’t hold. :o(
But the bridges did make great ropes for tug o war!
Josh got in the water!!! Miracles DO still happen!
slidin’
Capture the flag with water balloons was the BEST!
Needless to say, by the end of the day we were ready for a shower. So every evening after our game time but before our evening lesson, we drove to the campground for nice hot showers…
