Just before we left for our trip, I dug out the album of pictures from the boys’ first trip to Disneyland in February 2002. My parents and Theresa had come down for a visit and surprised us with a trip to Disneyland! It was so fun to look back at all the pictures! Especially the ones the boys took themselves… (they each had their own disposable camera)
While Chris and I had sworn never to take any children under the age of 12 to Disneyland, we couldn’t turn it down. After all, with a 5 to 3 adult to child ratio how bad could it be???
Having a scooter made a big difference, too!
Well, it turned out to be a terrific trip and was LOTS of fun! The boys did great and even remember tiny bits and pieces of it…
I don’t think they touched the ball at all this time…
I got a picture of the boys on this same bridge. The bridge looked a whole lot smaller this time!
After having perused the pictures, I hoped this trip would have a few improvements such as:
1. Fewer tears. I noticed quite a few pictures in which someone (ok, Will) was either crying or had been crying.
Poor Will was sad about something…
He decided not to be in the picture with the rest of us.
Will did MUCH better meeting Mickey Mouse! He didn’t cry a bit! :o)
2. More rides. Everyone now met the minimum height requirement and no one was afraid of the Haunted Mansion anymore…
It’s way easier to drive when you can see over the steering wheel!
3. Better pics. Nine years makes a big difference in picture taking skills but not as big of a difference in cooperation in posing for pictures as I had hoped… LOL
Andy took a couple of self-portraits as well as some pictures of birds…
Zack enjoyed taking more artistic shots at odd angles…
Will took several shots of looking up at people as well as people at his level (which meant pictures of people’s behinds) and garbage cans…
Will said he took this one using the “rule of thirds”. His photography teacher would be proud! LOL
