A Day Made To Order

While most of the world was starting school today, we decided to take advantage of our flexibility, and the must awaited arrival of summer, and spend the day on the river. If we had ordered exactly what we wanted out of the day, it would have been precisely what God gave us! Ninety degrees, sunny blue skies, not a breath of wind, water like glass… PERFECT! Utterly perfect!

The place we normally camp was under water!

Glassy smooth!

The only waves were from boat wakes and passing ships

Friends came along to enjoy the day and made it that much more fun! We swam, dug holes, ate, read, tossed the Frisbee, talked, bathed in mud (ok, only Will, Riley and Falynne did that), tubed, skied (even I skied), jumped off the boat into the river… all our favorite things to do!

But the mud was the favorite for these two!

It was the ideal day! Even Max was good and had lots of fun!

Thanks for the wonderful day, guys! What a way to make the most of the end of summer…
