China: Day Ten Part Two - Back to Xichang

Several of our teachers live in Xichang and joined us on the bus for the ride back, which was much faster than when we had come.

some homes on the outskirts of JinYang

The weather was so lovely, that it was just too hard to not take more pics...

Then as we started to climb into the mountains again, it clouded up and even rained (complete with wind and thunder and lightning).

Because it was a Friday the streets were clear and we made fantastic time.

We dropped off Florence and Rebecca and continued on our way through several small villages...

Although we made great time, everyone seemed to be very carsick. Even with my meds, it wasn't a great ride. :(

We made a quick rest stop to stretch our legs and a stop to wash the bus...

While we were stopped for the bus wash, a woman boarded the bus and sold plums to some of the passengers...

The gorgeous hotel seemed even more gorgeous since it had water and it was very hard to wait until after dinner to shower. Some of us didn't wait and we had supper much later than we had hoped. And although we asked for something light, that didn't happen... :)

The food was delicious but all I could think about was that shower and a comfy soft bed. I slept like the dead.
