Paris Day Three: Juno Beach

Our last stop in Normandy was Juno Beach, but we went through some cute little villages and farms on the way...

At the museum there was a set of Memorial Bricks to remember Canadians who served in WWI and WWII.

There was another concrete bunker to explore, so of course, we did...

Right after you get on the beach, there is another impromptu memorial set up by tourists...

21,000 Canadians stormed the 8-km stretch of beach. By evening they pushed their way inland and met up with the British troops from Gold Beach.

The bus ride was a nice rest for our evening. We also stopped at a truck stop for bathrooms and snacks.

We didn't realize it that morning, but the statue by the tour office is of Joan of Arc...

Rather than walking back to the hotel, we hopped on the Metro. Guess where our stop was? Right at the corner by our hotel. Google was really confused! :/
