Israel Day 9/14: Yad Vashem

Here are some pictures of the border leaving Palestine and going into Jerusalem...

Yad Vashem is the official name of the Holocaust memorial in Israel. It literally means "hand and name" and is taken from Isaiah 56:5 "And to them will I give in my house and within my walls a memorial and a name ("yad vashem")... that shall not be cut off."

this was the only forest we saw while in the Holy Land

It was established in 1953 by the Knesset, the legislature of Israel. It has exhibits, archives, monuments, and a research center. There is also an tree-lined walkway known as the Garden of the Gentile Righteous that is dedicated to those who helped the Jews. Some of those honored are Corrie Ten Boom, Oskar Schindler, and Raoul Wallenberg.

No pictures were allowed inside but it was beautifully done and was moving and solemn. Some things were so emotional and riveting, while others were difficult to see. It was so unlike most every other place we had been in Israel.

This is the fitting blog for anyone who needs to find out about this topic. You notice so much its nearly laborious to argue with you (not that I actually would need…HaHa). You definitely put a brand new spin on a topic thats been written about for years. Nice stuff, simply great! casino games
