Jordan Day 10/15: Crossing the Border

This was the day we left Israel, and Grace Tours, and crossed into Jordan.

This road was SO curvy and steep

flocks of sheep along the road

various Bedouin settlements

I love how there are random camels everywhere

Our first stop was to get our exit visas and get on a new bus.

Then we went through the Jordanian border.

It was then that we picked up a new tour guide, Joseph, and a "tourist officer". A tourist officer just follows us around to make sure we are safe. He was very nice but quiet. And he must have done a very good job because I always felt safe while we were there. Joseph was a Jordanian Muslim. He knew lots of Bible history and shared numerous facts about Jordan and the Muslim faith.

Here are some shots of the countryside along the way...

a Jordanian flag made of colored rocks on the side of the road

we also saw many brightly painted produce trucks
