We finally caved to family pressure and planned a visit to Northern Idaho so that we could go to Silverwood theme park. Since Rick and Jean Imholte moved to Coeur d' Alene we had a lovely place to stay with fantastic hosts!
On the way we took our time driving out on the North Cascades Scenic Highway... I think it is the most beautiful road in the state!
In taking the longer northern route we drove on roads we'd never been on before. I love watching the scenery change from rugged snowy tree-covered mountains to rolling bare high desert hills.
We also got to see the Grand Coulee Dam!
