So Cal Day 3 to 5

We spent the weekend hanging out with the McIvor family and doing the funeral for Rosie Miller, the entire reason for our trip. It was a very nice funeral and it was good to get to meet some of Rocky's family and hear new stories about Rosie. One of her "sons" and his family made a fantastic taco bar for the dinner!

We played really fun games on Saturday morning with Dirk, Alyssa, Abby and Hannah; ate yummy food; and read some Cooks Illustrated. They have some amazing tips and recipes!

Sunday was just a day of worship and rest with the McIvors and their church family at Calvary. Rocky and her friend were also able to join us for worship.

Monday was Dirk's day off so we went to a near by park to see the only thriving redwoods grove in Southern California and do a bit of hiking. By then the weather had gotten much hotter and we enjoyed our lunch in the shade...

We picked up Chris' Amazon order at a drop by and happened to drive by and pick up some of the most amazing mochi donuts ever! They were so good I also bought some of their mix to make my own at home... Yum!

Then it was more games and an early bedtime for a big day at Knott's Berry Farm!
