Or Day Two at the Fair...
Our second day started without Chris because he had to stay behind and teach. But he got an Uber and met us there by 10:30.
What did he miss, not too much.
Handmade nut roll for my pre-breakfast snack...
The Breakfast Spam Burger... (That was good enough that Chris got to try it when Tatum got a second one in the evening before we left)
The giant egg roll was actually really impressive! Well-filled with lots of meat and veggies...
I checked out the flowers while Zack got a honey peanut butter cream soda...
While Chris was getting a yogurt for breakfast at the Dairy "Barn", we checked out the cheese entries and the butter sculpture...
The DNR had a really nice building with a giant fish pond outside and very nice displays inside...
And Smokey Bear was there! :)
Day two was a lot of animals and the babies were my favorite!
Ube butter banana french toast lumpia... LOVE!
Jalapeño cheddar tater kegs...
Tater Tot Hotdish on a stick... Meh
Jalapeno Popper Donut... Also, meh.
Sweet corn ice cream with caramelized bacon sauce and caramelized onion monkey bread from the Blue Moon Dine-In Theater...
Pineapple upside down cake slushie and chocolate chip cookie beer...
Ye Old Mill is a dark tunnel ride (pitch black at times) with a few kitschy vignettes that has been in operation since 1915!
Funnel cake battered white cheddar cheese curds with lemon cream & berry coulis,
blue cheese and sweet corn hush puppies and cucumber melon refresher...
The museum of the history of the MSF was so well done and so interesting! Could have spent way more time in there it it hadn't been so warm inside...
Fair flavors macarons: sweet corn, mini donut, root beer float, cotton candy...
Caprese curds and deep fried s’mores...
Chris and Tatum went on this ride. Zack and I didn't want to have to take Dramamine...
Thanks, Fairchild! We had a great time!
