He Is Risen! He Is Risen Indeed!

We woke up to sunshine Easter morning! What a beautiful way to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord!

The boys opened their Easter baskets and hunted for eggs before church. We had trouble finding one of the eggs, but it showed up before we left for church. Thank goodness! You don't want to find a left-behind egg the hard way.

Our Easter Sunday was wonderful! The men in the church did Easter breakfast, which was so nice for us ladies. We were able to have an egg hunt outside for the kids and inside for the youth group kids. There were 75 people at our service, which was very exciting! It made singing those Easter hymns so beautiful. We even had some visitors from the apartments next door come. I was so excited because my friend Kate from Astoria and her family came and worshipped with us! That was such a blessing for me! Thanks, you guys! Chris preached a great sermon! It was just a great day!

After church, we rested for a bit and then headed down to spend Easter with family. We had a great time visiting with everyone! The boys had fun with their cousins and getting to go on another egg hunt. This one was a scavenger hunt that grandpa did for them. Everyone got clues that led them to eggs with more clues, and eventually to their prize.

do you think we have enough?

It was a great day and we now have enough candy to last for a very long time! Well, maybe a kind of long time. You never know when you will have a day that calls for a lot of chocolate. :o)

It looks as if you had a supurb day for Easter Sunday. In fact, so did we. Fantastic when the same weekend can turn out lovely both sides of the world at the same time!
I'm sorry I didn't get around to answering your question before but I haven't logged on during the week leading up to Easter. Although some of those bearded dragons are Australian, we don't know much about them, having never had one. They're not as common over here in the pet shops as you might imagine but I wouldn't mind looking into a pet like that myself as Logan is allergic to the fur of many of the more traditional types. We do have a variety of quite handsome looking, safe reptiles in our country. I'll ask around and let you know if I hear anything about good varieties.
By the way, congratulations to Zack for getting a good paying job mowing. It's great for a boy his age. I'm hoping to send Logan off with his Dad to learn some carpentry skills as soon as Andrew launches his little business. Paid, of course.

What a beautiful cross! I will never forget decorating the cross at Rock of Ages in Seattle when I was at Hillcrest! I wish it was something we could get going here! It adds a lot of life to the service! ...You were really busy with egg hunts! We only had one for daycare, and we had to stop and count the eggs to make sure all were getting the same amount! Happy Easter!

Doesn't every day call for a lot of chocolate? :-)
I can't get over how the boys have grown. My it seems like only yesterday we were babysitting for them and they were much smaller! Oh dear that was over 5 years ago!

God bless

Wow! Three hunts, we didn't even have one (I think the kids are too small still). Glad to see you had a wonderful day!
