Bethlehem And The Blue Flash

Yesterday we went to the Journey to Bethlehem at the Adventist church in our town. As usual, it was lots of fun, although wet! We always see people we know which makes it even more fun! This year our dastardly plan to not make our friends from Portland wait was foiled by horrible Friday night traffic. The boys and I went with group #3 (thanks to our friends who were 2nd in line and got us tickets), and Chris stayed behind and went with the Paulson gang with group #16. So they didn't have to wait long.

Inara entertained our group with her ice skating routine
and taking pictures

we finally made it to Baby Jesus

The boys and I headed home to have supper ready for the weary travelers. As we were driving up the hill we saw a blue flash in the sky, the neighborhood went dark, the lights came back on, another blue flash, the everything went black. Thankfully, we have lots of candles and supper in the crock pot was all done. So we had a candlelight supper with the Paulsons just before the lights came back on. That meant we also got to enjoy conversation, hot cocoa and cookies and the Wii! We missed Sue, but she was in 2nd row seats at the Michael W Smith concert! All in all, it was a very fun evening (but with no pictures).
