Even after watching others complete (or not complete) the high ropes course the day before, Will was determined to do it. So we woke up early, got in line and signed up Chris, Zack and Will for the first time slot of the day.
With Will being afraid of heights since he was a baby, Mommy was pretty anxious about the whole thing. But I was more nervous than anyone else.
They all got suited up and headed up into the trees. Just before going, Will quoted his favorite verse, "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13
getting ready to climb
taking the safety test
Andy, Ian and the Paulson family also came to help cheer them on! Thanks guys, it really helped!
Zack on the Donkey Kong bridge
Will is heading up
almost there...
crossing the first cable
now Chris' turn
crossing the bridge
doing great!
transferring safety lines
Will's nearly done
Zack did it!
Will crossing the final line
Chris on the rope swing
Will's done!
Yipee!
Chris is almost there...
waiting to get down
Will took the zip line down
he was all smiles but still a little shaky from the rush
Chris took the free-fall swing down
showing off with the inverted cross
They all did great! Zack zipped through the course so quickly that I hardly had time to take any pictures! Will did awesome and was all smiles when he got down off the zip line! (He was still shaking a bit from the adreniline rush though) Chris chose to exit the course on the swing which he enjoyed after getting over the feeling of being yanked off a platform 30 feet in the air!
I was so proud of my fearless bunch that I bought them all the ropes course shirts from the camp gift store! They deserved it!!!
