High Ropes Course

Every camper at Bible Camp gets a free activity voucher. This year Andy and Ian decided to give the high ropes course a try. Nestled 30 feet up in the trees, it a course of bridges, cables, logs, platforms, and jumps all to be performed while strapped to a safety line above your head. It is exactly the kind of thing that Andy loves and I would never want to do.
And sure enough Andy and Ian had a great time! Andy, who always loves a challenge, chose the more difficult route and the free-fall swing off the end of the course. I was not only proud of how well they did on the course but how encouraging the boys were to the girls who were in their group. One of the girls didn't make it past the first obstacle but they cheered Emily on as she completed the entire course with only one 25-minute hang-up on the rope swing.

Andy liked it so much that he did it again on the 4th with the rest of his cabin and did a bit of showing off to boot... much to the dismay and apprehension of his counselor Tyler who just wasn't as comfortable up there as Andy was. :o)
