Christmas Eve

I didn’t do a very good job at taking pictures this Christmas. I guess we were just too busy having fun and enjoying ourselves! Thankfully Chris took some at Christmas Eve when I was busy in the kitchen with my sisters and mom.

the cousins are starting a band!

We had everyone over to our house for Christmas Eve this year. Our food theme this year was breakfast, everyone’s favorite! We had biscuits & gravy, potato pancakes, waffles, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, juices… Yum!

After we ate, we opened gifts and just enjoyed visiting together before candlelight service. It was fun to see what everyone got! And we all got some really great presents this year (as usual)! But they just seem to get better and better… :o) Then Santa came to bring the kids candy canes. Thanks Santa!

but the best gift of the day was the barn that Grandpa made for Ada ( I wish I had one to go with my log house!)

Theresa even hand-painted the feed bags

Candlelight service was very nice this year! The boys did a great job with the carols! Thanks Zack and Andy (and to Will for running sound)!

After church we went home, played Jenga and Farkle together and ate some treats from the Wood’s Christmas basket. Then the boys had a Christmas sleep-over/game night in Zack and Will’s room while Santa put out the gifts. I knew Santa wouldn’t want to come too late, but the boys said not to worry about it because they would keep their door closed. LOL
