Again this year we had a joint party for Andy and Will’s birthdays in the middle of the month. We had 16 guests (including 13 boys and 3 grown-ups). The great thing about our boys having such great friends is that we get to be friends with their great parents!!! Not only did we have so much fun talking but Kate and Chad brought some FANTASTIC jambalaya! (They are making it for their Mardi Gras party at church and wanted to try it out first)
I am sure the boys had fun, too. We really didn’t see them that often, but we heard them quite a bit. :o)
As usual they played games, jammed on the instruments, ate, had birthday cake, opened presents, watched a movie and made a movie, too. My favorite part was when they all sang “Happy Birthday”! Dave said that it was perhaps the worst rendition of “Happy Birthday” that he had ever heard, but it was sung with so much joy and enthusiasm! And that’s what really counts! And with a choir of 19 guys and 2 girls, it was a very low rendition as well. LOL
I’m not sure we needed that many guys lighting candles, I just think they like to do it
“Happy Birthday to you…”
they play Pig Pile in this chair every time
and we thought the McMurrys were tall before…
some presents were easier to open than others… :o)
I’m not sure how late they were up, but they were all awake before 9am and ready for pancakes in the morning! Thanks for coming everyone! We had a grand time!
