After church we headed south to Portland for Amy’s baby shower tea party. It was kind of nice to have food left over from Saturday’s tea and just get to relax and enjoy this one! As always, the food was amazing and it is always so much fun to see all those tiny little baby things for Elsie!
There were even gifts for Ada, but she was much more interested in going outside to play with Betsy. :o)
Amy made this quilt out of an old retro skirt
Ada and Grandma IdeThe next batch of broilers (Amy & Frank bought them that morning)
After the tea party, we went down to join the men (who surprisingly didn’t want to eat “dainty tea foods”) at the creek. Despite the cold weather and pouring rain, it was very nice down there with the fires going. The creek got even wider and muddier just that afternoon!
It hardly looks like the same creek we played in during the summer!
William is doing what he loves best!
sitting around the campfire and roasting hot dogs. They taste best cooked over the fire!
It was toasty warm in the shelter!
Happy Mother’s Day!
