For the first time in years, we had a sunny Easter Sunday! It just makes the whole day so much better!
Our Easter service at church went great! The breakfast was yummy, the music went really well, everyone actually sang, we had our egg hunt outside (for the first time since 2006) and the cross was gorgeous (as usual)!!! It truly felt like a celebration of our Savior’s resurrection!
Since Zack was housesitting and met us at church, we did our baskets when we got home from church.Although we decorated eggs, the boys decided not to go in their rooms and pretend to sleep while the “Easter Bunny” hid the eggs. LOL
Then we made the trip down to Portland for Easter dinner. We also enjoyed all kinds of outdoor activities in the sun… Yay!
a bit of croquet before the egg hunt
first everyone helped the boys look for their eggs in the woods out back
obviously a critter found this one before we did…
then the littles went up front for their egg hunt
We also took a few pics while everyone checked out their haul…
Elsie and Stella were so cute!
Group shots
Then we just enjoyed the sun while we waited for dinner…
snacking on some chicks
out on a Sunday drive
the kids are dancing around with their new umbrellas while singing “Father Abraham”
What a happy Easter!
"The angel said to the women, 'Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay.' " Matthew 28:5-6
