Maggie's Birthday

Today we went down to Portland for Maggie's 5th birthday! She had a luau-themed party complete with leis, Hawaiian meatballs and chicken kabobs, a pineapple pinata and a volcano birthday cake. Everything was yummy and we had lots of fun getting to visit with everyone!

We had so much fun! Maggie and Charlie and Ada ( the cousins) are all growing up so fast and they change so much every time we see them.

The boys had fun playing trains with Charlie and I got to hold Ada and rock her to sleep. :o)

Hope you had a very happy birthday Maggie!

all the kids got a turn (from youngest to oldest),
but Andy's hit broke it clean in two

the prizes were fun...

Hey, what a great tropical theme. That pinata looked great. Looks like lots of fun.

Our craft day was a flop this month...just me! But, I got something done!!! We had a big storm on Thursday and Friday, so it didn't really surprise me that no one showed...maybe next time!

Glad you enjoyed the party. Cute little tike!

Thanks for your comment about reading to the kids. I would like to read other books but for now, Carmen is adamant about "Little House" books - which is fine with me. However, like you suggested, I'm sure the boys would like more "boyish" books. Perhaps I should start a 2-part reading time!

But then my voice starts to go!

Take care,
Kate
